The Newsstand Association of Philadelphia (NAP) was formed by newsstand owners to provide solidarity and support for each other, while providing a much needed service for the general public and business community.
The Newsstand Association of Philadelphia (NAP) was instituted to provide all Newsstand Owners with the Opportunity to Control their own Destiny.
We Believe:
THAT NEWSSTAND OWNERS SHOULD CONTROL THEIR OWN AFFAIRS.
THAT REAL STRENGTH AND PROTECTION CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED THROUGH COLLECTIVE POLITICAL ACTIVISM. CONVENIENT POLITICAL DEALS MADE TO PROTECT "NUMBER ONE" ARE FOOLISH. WHEN ONEROUS REGULATIONS ARE IN PLACE IT WILL BE ALL ENCOMPASSING AND INDIVIDUAL DEALS WITH INDIVIDUAL POLITICIANS WILL BE MUTED.
THAT SOLIDARITY WILL BRING REAL VICTORY.
THAT WE MUST ESTABLISH A STRONG MEMBERSHIP BASE.
THAT WE MUST ESTABLISH A REVENUE BASE FOR POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT OUR CONCERNS.
THAT WE MUST COMPROMISE WHERE COMPROMISE IS ESSENTIAL AND COMBATIVE WHENEVER OR WHEREVER NECESSARY.
We vociferously proclaim, that we will not compromise our beliefs. While the cacophony of negativism swirls around us we will stand firm, throw down the gauntlet and never forget that, “We Must All Hang Together or Assuredly We Shall Hang Separately.”
